Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Wings

The big game is coming up and, while I don't watch football on a regular basis, I love watching the Super Bowl every year. Between the commercials and an excuse to make some game day food, I'm all in! How about some Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Wings?! Yes, please!

It's no secret on greens & chocolate that I LOVE buffalo chicken anything. From my Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Wings, Buffalo Chicken Sliders, and Buffalo Chicken Pasta to Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Thighs and Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, it's clear that I'm obsessed!

Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Wings

Shockingly, I don't have a recipe for classic buffalo chicken wings. My favorite way to make chicken wings at home is in the air fryer - they get crispy without all of the mess of frying them in oil!  I truly dislike deep frying anything because of the mess. The air fryer takes away all of that and keeps things super crispy and tasty!

How to Make Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Wings

This recipe is so easy! All you have to do is place your chicken wings in the air fryer and bake on 350 for 25 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes. If you're making a full batch of 3 pounds of wings, I recommend splitting the wings in half and cooking them in two batches. Air Fryer baskets aren't super big and you want room for the air to circulate. That is how things get crispy!

After 25 minutes at 350 degrees F, you crank up the heat to 390 to get them super crispy. Lastly, you'll toss them in a combination of Frank's hot sauce and butter. Yum, yum!

Of course, you can't forget about a good blue cheese dipping sauce to go with them wings! These Air Fryer Chicken Wings are served with a homemade blue cheese dipping sauce. It is completely worth the extra five minutes that it takes compared to opening up a bottle of dressing.

The blue cheese dipping sauce is a simple combination. Just blue cheese crumbles, sour cream or plain Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, milk, lemon juice, garlic powder, and salt. The buffalo chicken wings are a perfect match with this blue cheese dipping sauce!
