This easy strawberry dump cake recipe is so unbelievably simple to make.
Prep. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 9″ baking dish or cake pan with cooking spray.
Chop the Strawberries. Hull the strawberries and then slice them. I like leaving them in bigger slices, but you can dice them into smaller chunks if you prefer.
Assemble. Spread the strawberries out in the casserole dish. In a medium bowl, mix together the cake mix and melted butter until it’s a crumbly mixture. Sprinkle the cake mix and butter combination over the strawberries. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes. It should be slightly golden and bubbly.
I like to serve this easy strawberry dessert immediately when it’s warm, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Whipped cream is also delicious!
I have not tried making this dessert with other fruits, but I have a feeling other fresh berries would work well, like blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries. Peaches and nectarines would be delicious, too. I definitely plan on trying these variations later this spring and summer!
Absolutely! This dessert is delicious warm OR cold. I do prefer it warm, but we have still enjoyed it cold.
Leftover strawberry dump cake should be stored in an airtight container in the fridge, and should be fine for 3-5 days.

I have not done this, but I think a chocolate strawberry dump cake would be delicious.
