Cottage Cheese Taco Dip
Cottage Cheese Taco Dip is a protein packed dip that is perfect for appetizer or snack! This high protein dip is delicious with crackers, tortilla chips, and raw veggies.
I've always loved cottage cheese, but the current cottage cheese craze has brought my love for it to a new level. I knew I could eat it with salt and pepper, or tuna salad, but more recently I've discovered Avocado Cottage Cheese Toast and now this Cottage Cheese Taco Dip!
Blending cottage cheese in the food processor or blender makes it super creamy, which makes it more appealing to those who don't like the texture. In addition, cottage cheese is super high in protein, so using it in dips or on toast adds a boost of protein.

Why You'll Love This Recipe
- Easy - this dip is made in the food processor and could not be easier to whip up!
- High Protein - cottage cheese is super high in protein and makes it easy and delicious way to get your protein in.
- Creamy - the cottage cheese and Greek yogurt make this dip super creamy.
Ingredients
Cottage Cheese - cottage cheese is the secret weapon that makes this dip not only creamy but also has a ton of protein. One cup has 25 grams of protein!
Plain Greek Yogurt - this adds to the creamy texture. I recommend using whole milk Greek yogurt to make this extra creamy. I also use it in my Greek Yogurt Ranch Dressing!
Taco Seasoning - this gives the dip the taco flavoring. I love Siete Taco Seasoning, as it has clean ingredients and is mild enough for my kids. If you love taco flavors, be sure to check out my Creamy Beef Taco Soup or Taco Mac!
Diced Green Chiles - these add some flavor and texture to the dip.
Variations
Sour Cream - instead of Greek yogurt, you can use sour cream, if you prefer.
Add fresh herbs - fresh cilantro would be a delicious addition to the high protein dip.
Layered Taco Dip - you can use this cottage cheese taco dip as a layer in 7-Layer Dip. Simply spread on a serving platter/baking dish and top with sour cream, guacamole, diced red or white onion or green onions, lettuce, black olives, and diced tomatoes or salsa.
Cheese - you can stir in some shredded cheddar cheese or shredded Monterey Jack cheese.
Add Some Spice - if you want a spicy taco dip, you can use hot taco seasoning, add some diced jalapeños, a few dashes of hot sauce, or find hot diced green chiles.
Cream Cheese - you could also use cream cheese instead of Greek yogurt. This will make it super creamy and thicker, so you might need to add a splash or two of milk, too.
