Ingredients in Blueberry Vinaigrette

This delicious blueberry vinaigrette salad dressing is made with simple and fresh ingredients!

Blueberries - Fresh or frozen will work! I typically use fresh blueberries, especially during spring and summer months.

Olive Oil

White Balsamic Vinegar - white balsamic vinegar is a little more subtle than balsamic vinegar, and it keeps the dressing from looking too dark. If you can't find it, you can substitute it with regular balsamic vinegar or white wine vinegar.

Honey - for a little bit of natural sweetness. Maple syrup would also work!

Dash of salt

How to Make Blueberry Vinaigrette

It's so simple! All you have to do to make this homemade salad dressing with blueberries is to add all of the ingredients to a food processor or blender and puree until everything is combined. This usually takes 1-2 minutes. Store in a mason jar, or any airtight container, in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Common Questions

Can I substitute different berries? Sure! This recipe would work well with raspberries and strawberries, too. I also have a Strawberry Vinaigrette recipe that is slightly different but another easy vinaigrette recipe.

Can I use a different kind of oil? I think this blueberry salad dressing recipe works best with extra virgin olive oil, but a light flavored oil like canola oil or avocado oil would also work well. In addition, you can use apple cider vinegar instead of white balsamic vinegar.

How long will this dressing last? This homemade blueberry vinaigrette will last 1 week in the refrigerator in an air-tight container.

How do you store blueberry vinaigrette? I store my homemade salad dressings in mason jars with lids in the refrigerator. I have a variety of sizes which works well for different amounts of dressing. I also have these jars which have a sealed wood lid that I like to store them in.
