Making your own salad dressing could not be easier! This Strawberry Vinaigrette is a simple combination of strawberries, honey, apple cider vinegar, and olive oil, and is perfect for spring green salads!
I’ve been on a bit of a salad kick, so get ready for a whole bunch of new salad dressing recipes! It’s not that these are new, to me. I am just finally getting around to photographing and sharing them. I have been making this super fresh and healthy Strawberry Vinaigrette for awhile now, and not only is it delicious, but crazy easy, too!
This dressing is best in the spring and summer, when it can be made with the freshest in-season strawberries.
Strawberries – I usually use fresh strawberries, but frozen (and thawed) also work!
Apple Cider Vinegar – this adds some acidity to the dressing. White wine vinegar would also work well.
Honey – for a bit of natural sweetness.
Olive oil
Salt – just a dash of salt is all it needs
This dressing is so easy to make. Simply add all of the ingredients to a food processor or blender, and blend until it’s well pureed.
The dressing can be used right away, or stored in the refrigerator until you’er ready to use. The dressing may harden a little in the fridge. If this happens, you can just let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before using it or just shake it up to get it loosened up. This shouldn’t be a big deal at all!
My favorite use for this strawberry salad dressing is on a mixed green or spinach salad, with more strawberries, feta, almonds, and red onion. I’ve also used it as a marinade for chicken, which is also delicious!
