Greek Yogurt Dirt and Worms

Greek Yogurt Dirt and Worms are about to become your kids favorite snack treat! It's kind of healthy enough to be a snack since it's made with Greek yogurt, but with gummy worms on it, the kids will think its a treat!

I know for a fact that I am not alone in having kids who could live on snacks alone. If we went ahead and got rid of meals forever, they probably wouldn't even notice. Okay, they would but you know what I mean! They would eat snacks over meals any day.

I was trying to think of a fun, healthy-ish treat that the kids would love and I also would love serving them, and Greek Yogurt Dirt and Worms are what I came up with. The "pudding" part is made with Greek yogurt and pudding mix and is layered with crushed chocolate cookies. Of course, you can't forget the gummy worms on top.

These were a super fun and yummy treat for the boys. Not only did they enjoy eating them, but the recipe is so easy they were able to help me make them, as well!

Greek Yogurt Dirt and Worms Tips and Questions

What kind of cookies should I use for the crumbs?

I use Oreos, but chocolate graham crackers, chocolate animal crackers, or really any kind of chocolate cookies/crackers will work!

What kind of gummy worms do you use?

I typically use these, which I find at Target, but you can really use any kind you like.

Can I use vanilla Greek yogurt?

Yeah that will work just fine. It will be a bit sweeter than if you use Plain Greek Yogurt, though.

Can this be made dairy free?

It can, with some adapting. You can use refrigerated almond milk, but will need to use Cook & Serve pudding mix instead of instant, as instant pudding will not set with almond milk. For the yogurt, you can use your favorite dairy-free yogurt.
