Frozen Mango Margaritas
Frozen Mango Margaritas are a breeze to whip up in the blender and perfect for a patio cocktail or Cinco de Mayo!
Ahhhh! It's been a crazy, crazy week but I promised you another margarita recipe and I must keep my promise! Especially since Cinco de Mayo is coming up - we NEED this recipe in our lives.
Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? Both of the boys are going down to Iowa for a weekend at my dads so we are KID FREE. I have big plans to get a ton of work done/recipes tested, hopefully plant some flowers, and maybe do a little painting in our upstairs. On the more fun side of things, we are going to see Garth Brooks tonight and then either cooking a fun meal in or going a date night out tomorrow night - woohoo!
Now, onto this recipe for Frozen Mango Margaritas. This recipe is so, so easy - you just throw all of the ingredients in the blender! I used a fresh mango but if you have a hard time finding it or just really hate peeling and cutting mangos (it's my least favorite fruit to prep!!), you can definitely use frozen mango! I buy mine at Trader Joe's and it's SO good.
Along with the mango, these frozen mango margaritas are a simple combination of lime juice, tequila, Triple Sec, and agave. You don't need one of those too-sweet mixes with who-knows-what ingredients to make a good margarita! You just need some decent tequila, and the right recipe!
I will note - if you're used to a super sweet margarita, this recipe is not that. If you try it and feel like you want it a little smoother, just add a little more agave - like 1 teaspoon at a time!
These cocktails are perfect for a night on the patio or Cinco de Mayo. Give them a try this weekend!
