Mint Lemon Limeade is an easy homemade limeade recipe made with lemons and limes, and mint simple syrup! It’s delicious as is, or make it into a cocktail with a shot of vodka.
While I don’t exactly have a green thumb, if there’s one thing I can grow every summer, it’s mint. Apparently mint is easy to grow so we get along well. So, with an abundance of mint I’ve been making a lot of cucumber mint water and now this Mint Lemon Limeade! This limeade recipe is super easy to make and is delicious as is, or with a little vodka in it.
To start, make a mint simple syrup. To do this, combine 1/2 cup of fresh mint, with equal parts sugar and water. Bring it to a light boil and cook it until the sugar has dissolved. This takes bout 5 minutes. Let it cool completely and remove the mint leaves before using it.
Next, juice the limes and lemons. While I originally wanted to make this into limeade, I realized limes often don’t produce a ton of juice, so I made it with half limes and half lemons. It is bursting with citrus flavor!
Finally, combine the lime juice, lemon juice, some water, ice, and the mint simple syrup in a pitcher. Serve topped with some additional mint leaves and enjoy!
This limeade is delicious as is, but there are a few things you can do to make it your own.
