Blackstone Chicken Stir Fry
Blackstone Chicken Stir Fry is a super easy, flavorful, and healthy meal all made on the Blackstone outdoor flat top grill! This recipe is super versatile and a great starting point for cooking on the Blackstone.
We love Chinese takeout food, but I've been trying to make more of it at home. The kids loved my Honey Cashew Chicken, so I wanted to try an easy stir fry chicken for them, too. I decided to take it outdoors because who likes cooking inside when the weather turns nice?!
This Blackstone Chicken Stir Fry turned out amazing and was a huge hit with everyone. I served it with some fluffy white rice as an easy meal that was not only healthy but filling, too.

Ingredients
Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts - this is thinly sliced for optimal stir fry size.
Bell Peppers - I use red and yellow bell peppers.
Green Beans - fresh green beans
Olive Oil - this is used to stir fry the veggies and chicken.
Soy Sauce - this is the main ingredient in the stir fry sauce.
Brown Sugar - this adds sweetness to the stir fry sauce.
Oyster Sauce - oyster sauce adds a savory and slightly sweet flavor to the sauce. It does not overly taste like oysters.
Fresh Garlic and Fresh Ginger - these add a ton of flavor!

Variations
Different Protein - you can make this using shrimp, sliced beef, chicken tenders, boneless skinless chicken thighs, or tofu, too.
Different Veggies - While I used peppers and green beans, you can switch it up with vegetables you have on hand or prefer. I think broccoli florets, mushrooms, peas, carrots, onion, zucchini, and cauliflower would all be great options.
Different Cook Top - while I make this on the Blackstone, you could make this in a large skillet on the stove, in a wok or griddle.
Step by Step Instructions
Photo 1. Thinly slice the chicken into bite-size pieces and prep the vegetables.
Photo 2. In a small bowl, combine the sauce ingredients.
Photo 3. Preheat the Blackstone griddle to medium-high heat. I like to let it heat up for 5-10 minutes so it is very hot.
Add 2 tablespoon of oil to one side and then add the vegetables. Cover the lid and let sauté for 5 minutes. Halfway through, add a squirt of water to steam them a little.
Photo 4. Add another 2 tablespoon of oil to the other side of the griddle, spread out with spatula, and then add the chicken. Be sure to spread it out so each piece of chicken is on the griddle surface. Cook the chicken for 3 minutes and then turn, cooking another 2-3 minutes.
Photo 5. Once the veggies and chicken are cooked, toss them to combine.
Photo 6. Add the sauce, cooking 2-3 more minutes to for the sauce to warm and thicken up. Serve and enjoy!
Expert Tips
Serving Suggestions - this is great on top of fluffy white rice, brown rice, fried rice, with chow mein noodles, cauliflower rice for a low-carb option, in a lettuce wrap, or on its own! I love topping it with sliced green onions and Sriracha.
Storage - you can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
Recipe FAQs
A Blackstone is an outdoor griddle that makes it super easy to cook large batches of meat, vegetables, stir fries, and even breakfast! Since it has a griddle instead of grates, it allows you to cook foods you wouldn't typically be able to cook outside on a grill.
Any high heat oil will work well like olive oil, canola oil, and avocado oil.
