- 1 ½ cups fresh chopped strawberries
- 1 ½ cups cottage cheese
- ½ cup milk
- 3 tablespoon maple syrup
In a food processor, add the strawberries and cottage cheese and blend until pureed. You can also do this in a blender.
Add the milk and maple syrup and blend again until pureed.
Transfer the mixture to a Ninja Creami pint container and freeze for 24 hours.
Once frozen, insert the pint container into the Ninja Creami ice cream maker and run the ice cream cycle.
If it is crumbly (it probably will be), add a tablespoon of milk and run the Re-Spin button. Repeat once more if it is still crumbly.
Serve and enjoy!
Storage - store leftovers in the freezer in the Ninja Creami pint container or any airtight freezer-safe container. Before eating again, run it through the Ninja Creami to get it back to creamy.
Serving Suggestions - I liked my strawberry cottage cheese ice cream topped with graham cracker crumbs, so it resembled a strawberry cheesecake. Other topping ideas are hot fudge, chocolate chips, chopped cookies, more chopped strawberries, or any type of fruit.
Ice Cream Maker Instructions - if you don't have a Ninja Creami, you can make this in a regular ice cream machine. Be sure the drum of the ice cream machine is frozen. Add the strawberry mixture to the frozen drum and let it churn until frozen.
