Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey I use 93/7
  • ½ white onion finely diced
  • ¼ cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoon Worcestershire

Extras

  • Buns
  • Toppings - lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, mustard

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix together the turkey, onion, breadcrumbs, garlic, and Worcestershire.
  • Form into 4 patties.
  • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. You can also use parchment paper to line the bottom of the air fryer basket to keep the burgers from sticking.
  • Set the turkey burger patties in the bottom of the basket in a single layer, and cook at 350 degrees F for 8 minutes, flip, and then cook another 7-10 minutes. The cook time depends on how large you make your burgers, but if you make each one 4 ounces, as suggested in the recipe, 15-18 minutes will be enough. To be sure your burgers are done, I recommend using a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the burgers is at least 160 degrees F.
  • Serve on buns and with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!

Notes

Prep ahead. You can definitely make these burgers ahead of time! Simply make the burger mixture and form into patties, put them on a plate, and cover, storing them in a refrigerator until you're ready to cook. You might need to add 1-2 minutes to the cooking time since they will be starting from a colder temperature.
Storage. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.
Swap the meat. Looking for an air fryer beef burger recipe? You can definitely use ground beef instead for beef burgers. Ground chicken would also work.
Freezer option. You can definitely make these into a freezer meal! Simply prepare the burgers, cook according to instructions, and then place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Freeze for 1 hour to flash freeze and then transfer to a freezer-safe container to freeze completely. To cook, reheat in the microwave for 60-90 seconds or air fryer for 4-5 minutes.
Cheese. To add sliced cheese to these turkey burgers, place the slices of cheese on top of the burgers after they have cooked (but are still in the basket) and then close the air fryer and let the residual heat from the air fryer melt the cheese. This usually takes about 2 minutes.
