Slow Cooker Beer Brats

An easy and flavorful way to cook beer brats - in the slow cooker! The tender brats are finished on the grill for a nice char and crusty outside.

Ingredients

  • 1 white or yellow onion sliced
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 5 brats
  • 12 ounce beer
  • 2 tablespoon butter cut into small pieces

Instructions

  • Add the onions and garlic to the slow cooker and top with the brats.
  • Pour the beer over the brats and onions and then place dollops of butter on top of the sausages.
  • Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • Add the brats to get a char on each side.
  • Serve on buns topped with your favorite brat toppings and enjoy!
