Southwestern Turkey Burgers
Turkey burgers with southwestern spices, jalapenos, red onions, and topped with Pepper Jack cheese and guacamole!

- 1 ¼ lbs ground turkey
- ½ jalapeno finely diced
- ¼ cup red onion finely diced
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- ⅓ cup bread crumbs
- 4 slices pepper jack cheese
- guacamole, for topping
In a bowl, combine the turkey, jalapeno, red onion, chili powder, cumin, salt, egg and breadcrumbs and mix until just combined.
Form into four patties.
Grease and preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Place burgers on grill and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, until cooked through.
For the last 4 minutes, place the pepper jack cheese on the burgers.
Serve on tops, topped with guacamole. Enjoy!
- This recipe can easily be doubled
- I always use 93/7 ground turkey when I make turkey burgers.
- You can make the burgers ahead of time and refrigerate until your'e ready to cook. Add 1-2 minutes to cooking time.
