Slow Cooker Italian Sausage and Peppers
Slow Cooker Italian Sausage and Peppers is an easy, four ingredient slow cooker recipe that is perfect for a busy weeknight! This recipe uses Italian sausages, red onion, bell pepper, and marinara and is perfect served on hoagies topped with cheese.

- 2 lbs mild Italian sausages *hot works, too!
- 1 red onion sliced
- 2 red or green bell peppers stem and seeds removed, and diced
- 8 hoagie buns
- 2 cups shredded Italian cheese
Add the sausages, onion, bell pepper, and marinara to a slow cooker and stir gently.
Cover and cook on high for 3 hours or low for 6 hours.
Once they are cooked, preheat your broiler.
Place the sausages in the hoagie buns along with some of the sausage and onion and pepper mixture. Set them on a baking sheet. Sprinkle them with cheese.
Broil for 1-2 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden.
Serve and enjoy!
If your family is a fan of bell peppers, add another bell pepper. My family likes bell peppers, but only a few so I typically just use two bell peppers!
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
