Light and fresh mango and avocado salsa is perfect with tortilla chips or on top of fish tacos! Mango and Avocado Salsa

This weekend, our washer AND dryer stopped working.  Well, I take that back.  Our washer has been failing to spin all of the water out for about 3 weeks now, which I’ve been tolerating, but now our dryer has decided to quit working as well.  So it’s 90 degrees and humid here in Minnesota, and I’m going through multiple outfits a day because I keep sweating through my shirts, and I can’t do laundry.  Grrrrrrreat.

This has nothing to do with this salsa, but it is a great appetizer/dip to make in the scorching hot weather.  No oven.  No grill.  Just you and your chopping board and one tasty salsa.  Seriously this stuff is good.  So good that when I made it as an appetizer when we had another couple over for dinner, we all basically stood around the salsa shoving it into our mouths.  It was cute.

  • 2 ripe avocados diced
  • 2 mangos diced
  • 1/2 red onion finely diced
  • 1 jalapeno seeded and finely diced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro chopped
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • salt and pepper to taste


  • Combine all ingredients in bowl and mix well to combine.
  • Serve with tortilla chips.
  • Enjoy!
